Florida Keys Real Estate and Information

Most who visit the Florida Keys do so because of our climate, year round boating and water recreation. Here are some useful websites to help you with your outdoor activities.

Many of these outdoor activities are predicated on weather conditions. For the National Weather Service in Key West. Make sure you click on the observations tab for up to the minute conditions on both land and sea.

Planning fishing, a boating excursion or even a beach walk to look for shells? This site has the most comprehensive tidal and celestial information for over 150 Florida Keys locations. www.saltwatertides.com
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Keys are part of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. There mission is to protect America’s only living barrier bank reef and the ecosystems that support it. www.floridakeys.noaa.gov

Interested in the latest fishing and boating regulations? Want to learn how to measure a fish and if that fish is measured overall or at the fork length? www.myfwc.com.

Find a map link and full list of Florida Keys State Parks at: www.floridastateparks.org/findapark/district-southeast.cfm. John Pennekamp State Park with it’s underwater trail, Bahia Honda State Park named one of the top 10 beaches in the world. And Fort Zachary Taylor State Park which has one of the prettiest beaches in Key West are just a few.

The National Park Service manages two of the worlds most famous parks, Everglades National Park which boarders Florida Bay in the Upper Keys. www.nps.gov/ever/index.htm and Dry Tortugas National Park, a civil war Fort built on Garden Key, Dry Tortugas, 70 miles west of Key West. www.nps.gov/ever/index.htm. Definitely one of the last pieces of paradise!

All of these links can be found at my Florida Keys real estate website where all of the links are hot so whether you are on your PC, Mac or PDA you are only on click away from visiting them.
